Hi,
After some time I bring you news about SE 1.2...
I've been working mostly on the infrastructure to make nice, clean
releases. It has been a little boring, but I think everything is in
place now to start on the real work.
On July 1st (next Friday) I will release "SmartEiffel 1.2r0
(transitional)". As I have mentioned before, it's not very different
from 1.1, it has just some updates to the documentation, and the release
is generated and tested by some scripts that you can find in the
repository (they're not included in the packaged release). It also has a
name which is much longer :)
I plan to produce monthly releases, with small incremental changes, so
people don't need to rely heavily on SVN repository access. Some notes
about the Release Schedule (feel free to contribute!) are at:
https://opensvn.csie.org/traccgi/smarteiffel12/trac.cgi/wiki/ReleaseSchedule
I've been working in a small test suite, that should be ran on every
release. The current version compiles SE1.1, Gobo 3.3, and the tutorials
included with the distribution; but extra tests can be added quite
easily. Notes about the Test Suite can be found at:
https://opensvn.csie.org/traccgi/smarteiffel12/trac.cgi/wiki/TestSuite
The test suite is not included in the releases, you have to check it out
separately.
Have a nice day,
Daniel
